Job Description

B&B Hotels, operating 450 hotels in Europe, has recently opened its first Belgian hotel in Antwerp, and will be opening a 91-room hotel in Brussels. We are curently looking to hire a General Manager, for the Brussels property, which is curently under construction but will open in June 2019. The GM is expected to start in February and will be in charge of the pre-opening and management of the property.
The B&B Hotel Group has big ambitions in Belgium and 5 hotels will be opened in 2020 with many other projects currently in the pipeline. 
Pre-opening job description:
- Responsible for the pre-opening phase
- Making sure to obtain all the necessary administrative permissions to open and manage the hotel
- Recruitment and training of staff in order for them to be operational at the opening of the hotel
- Selection of partners and suppliers. Negociation of supplier contracts 
- Implement a communication and promotion campaign for the opening.
- Pre-sales (through the available channels and local sales)
- Set-up and management of the budget & P&L plans
- Organise the opening of the hotel
- Definition and implementation of the hotel management processes
Post-opening job description:
- Develop sales and manage result
- P&L responsability
- Responsable for the security of the hotel, staff and clients ( hygiene, personal security and evironment)
- HR Management (recruitment, training, development, appraisal, talent management) and follow up/management of "sécretariat social"
- Responsable for client satisfaction & quality management
- Sales & Client Development
- Administrative management ( analasys, reporting, investment, accountancy, banking)
- Purchase management

Job Requirements

- Experience as GM, Assistant-GM or Operational Manager in a similar hotel chain
- A minimum of 2 years experience at Hotel Management level, and a minimum of 5 years in the hotel industry
- Knowledge of Yield Management/ Revenue Management and distribution (Web, OTA, Social Media...)
- Good knowledge of Opera PMS
- Excellent knowledge of English and French. Flemish would be be an extra asset
- People Management skills, good interpersonal relationship qualities, dynamic, confident
- Autonomous, dynamic and a sense for initiative
